slow in here as of late. I guess all that can be said about Frank has been said!
I got the 40th Anniversary 5-CD version of "Zappa in New York" forChristmas. Only had time to listen to it once so far. It's better
than I was expecting. The middle three discs that flesh out a version
of the complete set list from the concerts using previously unreleased
recordings are great. The nearly half-hour long version of Black
Napkins on disc four is fantastic. Also neat to hear the piano
interpretations of The Black Page on disc five, particularly the one
that Ruth Underwood arranged and recorded at home.
There's still stuff to talk about, it just hardly anyone checks out
USENET newsgroups any more.
